Nominacije za My VH1 Music Awards 2001

Sastavi U2 i Dave Matthews Band prednjače u broju nominacija za My VH1 Music Awards 2001, koje treba da budu dodeljene 2. decembra 2001. u znamenitom losanđeleskom Shrine Auditorium-u. Ove dve grupe nominovane su u po šest kategorija. Frontwoman sastava No Doubt Gven Stefani (Gwen Stefani) na drugom je mestu sa pet nominacija, dok je za njom Staind sa četiri. U2 i DMB su nominovani u kategorijama Omiljene grupe, Najboljeg spota, Albuma koji se mora imati, Prokletstvo – voleo bih da sam ja to napisao, Najžešćeg živog nastupa, i naj-cool fan web sajta.

Na svečanosti, koja će se prenositi uživo posredstvom mreže VH1, između ostalih će nastupiti i Mik Džeger, Creed, Sting, Neli Furtado, Leni Kravic, Destiny’s Child i No Doubt. Sistem dodele ovih nagrada je takav, da je obožavaocima muzičkih zvezda omogućeno da sami formulišu kategorije, odaberu finaliste i, potom, tokom samog spektakla, izaberu pobednike glasanjem u stvarnom vremenu.

Moby, Train, i ekipa koju čine Kristina Agvilera (Christina Aguilera), Lil’ Kim, Mya i Pink (zajedno izvele “Lady Marmelade”) takmiče se u po tri kategorije.
